FASHION156 - Artist – Diana Al-Hadid
This collection by Diana Al- Hadid explores many aspects of life; from birth, to nature, to demise, to rebirth in sculptures and charcoal/pastel images on…
“It’s remarkable how transformed an image can become with just some simple cuts and bends. Letha Wilson, an artist living in New York, cuts, moulds and bends her images of natural landscape to create wonderfully dynamic art pieces.
I find Wilson’s work truly imaginative; her manipulation of a tranquil nature scene into something bold and graphically exciting is commendable. I think it’s the absence of excessive change that makes these pieces so wonderfully fresh and new.
Wilson’s work is effortlessly stylised in the sense that all her pieces seem to have a coherent look despite them being visually different. I love the simplicity of her manipulation merged with the natural beauty of the image subject.”

The Magical World of Living Light
This is the mysterious spectacle of bioluminescence. Its hard not to revel in the beauty of this remarkable natural phenomenon. These glowing creatures are primarily a product of the ocean. They are the primary source of light in the largest and darkest area of habitable land on Earth, the deep sea. On land, they are most commonly seen as glowing fungus on wood (foxfire) or in the few families of luminous insects (fireflies).

Fashion156.com LOOKBOOK – DELPOZO
“There is no doubt that the Delpozo FW13 line is one of various luxury materials and textures. The collection features many lively colors and prints that epitomize the perfect transition to complement the changing colors of the season.
As the first Fall/Winter collection ever released under Josep Font, the minimalistic shapes of the pieces shine through to show the true roots of the Spanish fashion house’s emblematic simplistic structure, as established in their FW12 line.
I love the combination of a classic silhouette fused with shades and metallics that are concurrent with the season. Delpozo Fall 2013 reinvents the stereotypical minimalism we are used to seeing on the runway and gives it a youthful, glamorous revival that gives way for the clean, molded cuts to be sported in months beyond the frigid winter.”
